During this year's parade we will be celebrating the 1983 Cotton Bowl Championship SMU football team and members of that 1982-83 team will serve as parade Grand Marshals. Our entrance into the ACC and our Homecoming and Reunion Weekend opponent - the University of Pittsburgh who the Mustangs defeated that day in the Cotton Bowl - make this the perfect time to commemorate the team, its achievements (11-0-1 record, #2 final ranking in the coaches and AP polls) and the bridging of two eras of SMU football. about the 1983 Cotton Bowl victory.
Alumni Fan Zone and Reunion Village
Reunion Village is excited to welcome undergraduate alumni and their families, including those celebrating their reunion years. Attendees can enjoy food, beverages, games and children’s activities. There is something for SMU fans of all ages.
