Event Info

Honors Convocation celebrates the academic excellence achieved by SMU undergraduate students. This ceremony recognizes new honor society inductees, national fellowships, various distinguished scholarships and internships, school and departmental awards, and graduating University Honors Program students.

Family and friends of students being honored and awarded are invited to attend the Honors Convocation. Tickets and RSVP for family and friends are not required. Dress is business casual.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m.

The ceremony will also be starting at 2:00 p.m.

 

 

Parking

Parking is available at Daniel Parking Center (N).

  • Bags or soft packs 12" x  6" or smaller (all bags are subject to search)
  • All personal possessions must fit under the patron's designated seat
Prohibited
  • Beverage/liquid filled containers (including thermoses, bota bags or wine skins)
  • Outside alcoholic beverages (Select shows may sale beer and wine)
  • Food
  • Strollers or Stroller Car Seat Combo
  • Personal property that is a potential hazard to others (e.g., chains, wallet chains or jewelry with spiked edges)
  • Weapons or items construed as weapons (e.g., guns, knives, sticks, fireworks)
  • Audio or video recording devices, professional cameras or cameras with removable lenses
  • McFarlin Auditorium is a smoke-free venue. This includes vapes, Juuls, and all e-cigarette devices. In addition, smoking is prohibited within twenty-five (25) feet of any entrance to building.
