The Edwin L. Cox School of Business at 91ƬSϼ (SMU) and the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) are proud to host the inaugural Cowtown Accounting Research Conference on Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, 2024. The goal is to provide a venue that encourages debate and discussion around important accounting research topics.

The inaugural conference will be held at the James M. Collins Executive Education Center at SMU Cox. We are also proud to show off our city to you. Dallas-Fort Worth is a major financial hub of the US and a hotbed of innovation and entrepreneurship. It is the country’s third largest metroplex and is growing rapidly.

Conference Extracurriculars

Meadows Museum

Located in the heart of Dallas on the SMU campus, the Meadows Museum is a two-story art museum founded by Algur H. Meadows. Nicknamed "Prado on the Prairie," the museum boasts a primary collection of Spanish art with visiting exhibitions through the year. Conference guests will be offered a guided tour of the museum.

 

Cowtown Coliseum

The Cowtown Coliseum, located in Dallas's neighboring city of Fort Worth, is a rodeo and arena. It was built in 1908 and hosts concerts and sporting events when not rodeo season.
