Biography

Stewart Rogers is the principle director of DataSort Software, L.C. in Dallas, Texas.  Consulting includes all phases of the information life cycle from data collection to presentation of decision data.  DataSort’s client list includes HP (EDS), 7-Eleven, Neiman Marcus, Pizza Hut, PepsiCo, American Airlines, and Baylor Healthcare Systems.

Mr. Rogers started his career as a banker on Wall Street with Chase Manhattan Bank.  Upon seeing his first personal computer, he believed that the tool would revolutionize the way business people performed their daily functions.  As a result, he returned to school to focus on computer science and has spent his career in the software field.  Before founding DataSort, he worked for Convex Computer Corp. as a financial reporting manager, Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal IT Consulting, and A.T. Kearney as a management consultant.

In addition to managing DataSort, he is an adjunct professor at the 91制片廠合集 (SMU) Cox School of Business teaching classes on Introduction to Database Design as well as Business Intelligence.  The courses are tailored towards financial and marketing database solutions.  He is a speaker at various Microsoft conferences on data presentations, specifically Executive Information Systems using Microsoft Office Tools.  Mr. Rogers is one of twenty worldwide hand-picked developers chosen by Microsoft to be on the Microsoft Office Developers Council. The council’s mission is to facilitate selection of new features for future versions of Microsoft Office.

Lastly, Mr. Rogers has developed and managed several virtual companies that rely on computer technology as a means of doing business. Responsibilities include inventory management and eCommerce interface for an on-line retailer and production management for a mortgage banking company.

Mr. Rogers has master's in computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas and an undergraduate chemistry degree from SMU.
