SMU Cox Executive Education proudly supports lifelong learning. We are pleased to offer financial discounts to service members and community organizations, as listed below. In order to redeem these discounts, you will need a discount code when completing your registration for any of our Programs for Individuals.
Discounts are also available for groups, SMU alums, and others.

SMU Employee Discount Details
Employee Discount
Eligibility:
SMU full-time faculty and staff may take advantage of this exclusive SMU Cox Executive Education tuition or program fee discount for yourself. You must be a benefits-eligible SMU employee on the date of registration and on the first day of class.
Enrolling:
Once you have selected your program, please email exed@smu.edu to ask for the SMU employee discount code to use during enrollment to receive your discount.
Discount only applicable on selected SMU Cox Executive Education short courses. Exclusions apply. Cannot be applied to previous registrations.
Discount Details:
You are responsible for any course fees related to your class, including textbooks, materials, software, or equipment, and they will not be discounted.
The 50% tuition discount for SMU employees is taxable. However, employees enrolled in taxable SMU Cox Executive Education programs are eligible for an annual IRS exclusion for the first $5,250 of cumulative tuition benefits or discounts each calendar year (note: not SMU’s academic year). If you have questions about taxable limits or tuition benefits for other SMU programs, please contact tuitionbenefits@smu.edu.
Additional Information:
Enrollment is open to SMU employees on a space-available basis, and priority will be given to accommodate regular SMU Cox Executive Education students.
SMU Cox Executive Education courses usually take place outside of SMU’s administrative and general office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Please talk with your supervisor prior to enrolling regarding any impact to your work schedule.
SMU employees who enroll in SMU Cox Executive Education courses are expected to fulfill all requirements in order to receive program completion credentials.
