Forums to disseminate best practices in attracting and retaining Latino talent

The SMU Cox LLI assists organizations to strengthen diversity and build capabilities to drive performance in the Latino and other multicultural markets.  By attending the SMU Cox LLI’s annual symposiums and year-round events/forums, companies are able to improve their Diversity & Inclusion outcomes and learn how to effectively use these efforts to influence business outcomes. Signature events focus on talent management. 

Past symposium topics include: Attracting Top Latino Talent; Engaging Latinos through Social Media, Connecting with Latinos: How Latinos Perceive your Organization, Chief Diversity Forum: Keeping Diversity & Inclusion at the top of the Agenda, and I am Latino in America, featuring Soledad O’Brien.

    • The SMU Cox Latino Leadership Initiative's fall symposium, Leadership in a Divided Nation,  will feature several key leaders from AT&T, CMP, SMU Cox, and Texas Instruments to discuss the benefits of inclusion in today's climate.

    • Her Stories, Our Voices is an empowering and dynamic event series that brings together film screenings, engaging speakers, compelling artists, and insightful panel discussions. This series is dedicated to exploring the diverse experiences, challenges, and triumphs of women of color across various fields and walks of life.
    • Date: Join the Collective on the first Saturday of every month at 1 p.m.

  • Women of Color Symposium: Championing Diverse Women for Success

    • The 2025 Women of Color Symposium: Championing Diverse Women for Success will focus on empowering diverse women to tackle the systemic barriers that contribute to the wage gap while providing actionable strategies for career and business advancement. Through expert-led panels, workshops, and mentorship opportunities, attendees will gain valuable insights on negotiating salaries, developing leadership skills, and building successful businesses.
