2023 Healthcare Conference
October 5 - 6, 2023In October 2023, SMU Cox hosted a healthcare conference: Patient-Centered Care: Access and Cost, where we brought together the brightest minds in healthcare to discuss the industry's most pressing challenges. Our keynote speakers and panelists provided actionable insights and strategies that you can implement in your organization. April 2023: Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making in Healthcare
Our Healthcare Leadership and Ethical Decision-Making conference brought together nearly 60 healthcare industry decision-makers to explore sustainable approaches to developing healthcare industry leaders and addressing ethical challenges in healthcare. This two-day program featured a fireside chat with McKesson CEO and Cox Executive Board Member Brian Tyler, conducted by former Baylor Scott & White CEO Jim Hinton.
The event was a building block in the Cox School’s new Healthcare Initiative and focused on a sustainable approach to developing healthcare industry leaders.
October 2022: Healthcare Roundtable
The SMU Cox Healthcare Roundtable was a foundational event for how SMU Cox can help shape the future of the healthcare business and develop healthcare industry leaders.
McKesson CEO and Cox Executive Board Member Brian Tyler and former Baylor Scott & White CEO Jim Hinton established their roles as co-chairs in the Initiative. The event was facilitated by Vishal Ahuja, Associate Professor of Information Technology and Operations Management at SMU Cox and Adjunct Faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Shane Goodwin, Associate Dean, Executive Education, and Graduate Programs and Finance Professor of Practice.
