Allison Larkin began teaching at SMU in 2014 and is the Associate Department Chair, a Senior Lecturer of Spanish, and the Assistant Director of  (2018-present). From 2020 – 2023, she served as the department’s Director of Second Language Assessment. Prof. Larkin is the designer of the First-Year Spanish online curriculum, and served as the departmental coordinator of First-Year Spanish from 2015-2020. She received the Rotunda Outstanding Professor Award in 2018. She loves teaching Spanish language and culture at all levels.
