Biographical Note:

Richard "Dick" Cheney served as Vice President of the United States for two terms under President George W. Bush, from 2001 to 2009. Before 2001, Mr. Cheney served in several roles in the federal government, including Secretary of Defense for President George Bush (1989-1993), member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wyoming (1979-1989), and White House Chief of Staff for President Gerald Ford (1975-1977).
