How do I correct my timesheet?
Please email Program Coordinator Kate Kimmis at kkimmis@smu.edu with your issue and she will adjust it for you.
How many hours can I work per week?
Hamilton Scholars may work up to 10 hours per week during the academic year and up to 29 hours per week during the summer. SMU's work week runs from Saturday to Friday, so when considering your hourly limit each week, keep track of your hours starting on Saturday.
How do I get reimbursed for research expenses?
You will first need to verify with your faculty mentor that your award included these expenses. If so, you will need to email Program Coordinator Kate Kimmis at kkimmis@smu.edu with:
- Itemized receipts with proof of type of payment (typically the last four digits of the credit card)
- Your SMU ID number
- Your mailing address
- Direct Deposit Form for Accounts Payable if you would like a direct deposit

You will first need to verify with your faculty mentor that your award included travel. If so, you will need to email Program Coordinator Kate Kimmis at kkimmis@smu.edu with:

- Your mailing address
- Direct Deposit Form for Accounts Payable if you would like a direct deposit
- Business-Related Travel Form filled out and signed by your faculty mentor
- A program or flyer for the event
