Lillian "Lily" Derr
Lillian “Lily” Derr, a Dallas, Texas native, is a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas where she recently published with Tower Center Fellow Mark Wynne. Lily previously worked as a consultant for the George W. Bush Presidential Center’s Economic Growth Initiative and as an Undergraduate Fellow at the Commercial Diplomacy Initiative at SMU Cox. Lily graduated from SMU with a double major in mathematics and political science, and minors in environmental engineering and public policy and international affairs through the Tower Scholars Program. Lily was a Tower Scholar, a Dedman College Scholar, a Pre-Law Scholar, a Grand Challenges Scholar, a Provost Scholar, a Millwee Scholar, a Discovery Scholar, an Undergraduate Research Assistant, and an Engaged Learning Fellow at SMU where she served as the Student Representative to the SMU Board of Trustees on the Academic Policy, Planning, & Management Committee. She also served as President of the University Honors Program Student Advisory Council and Student Representative on the Faculty Advisory Council. She was also the Undergraduate Representative on the President's Commission on the Status of Women at SMU.
