Matthew Reitz

Matthew Reitz is a dynamic individual with a diverse background in military service, strategic planning, and public affairs. He is currently serving in the U.S. Army as Strategy Advisor on the inaugural team standing up the Office of Policy and Global Affairs. Previously a Strategic Planner and Emerging Leader Fellow based in Washington, D.C., Matthew brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Since May 2023, he has been instrumental in developing strategic initiatives and fostering leadership capabilities within the organization.

Matthew previously held positions of increasing responsibility within the United States Department of Defense. As a Special Assistant and John S. McCain Strategic Defense Fellow from August 2021 to August 2022, he played a vital role in shaping defense strategies and policy recommendations. Matthew's keen analytical skills and strategic insights earned him recognition for his contributions to national security efforts.

Matthew's commitment to public service extends beyond his professional endeavors. He has actively contributed to grassroots Texas political campaigns and legislative initiatives. His passion for civic engagement and advocacy has been evident throughout his career, as he continues to make meaningful contributions to his community and country.

Matthew holds a Master of Arts degree in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he served as a Staff Editor for the Fletcher Security Review and Co-President of the Japan Club. Additionally, Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science, economics, and international studies from 91制片廠合集, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
