    Are you concerned about a friend or student? You can fill out a CCC form to help provide resources to your friend or student. Once the form has been filled out the student and CCC staff work collaboratively to develop an action plan and resources to support the student.

Counseling Services is dedicated to supporting the mental health needs of SMU students. A variety of options are available including meeting staff counselors at the Health Center, accessing the network of mental health providers offered online, or utilizing some of the resources made available for self-help.

Physical Health

At the Dr. Bob Smith Health Center, the Medical Services team provides everything students need for their personal health, including consultations with physicians, sports medicine, women’s health, dermatology, counseling, dental, and a pharmacy for prescriptions needs. Services at the Dr. Bob Smith Health Center are available to all SMU students living on and off campus.

Campus Recreation

The Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports serves students, staff, and members their recreation and fitness needs. The facility includes basketball/volleyball courts, multi-use (soccer) court, racquetball/squash courts, track, game areas, studios/classrooms, fitness floor/weight room, indoor pool, exterior pool “the falls”, and sand volleyball courts. The Hegi Family Career Development Center serves the needs of SMU students and assists employers in connecting with qualified SMU candidates. The center equips students and alumni with career development, continuous learning, and professional growth. The Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center (A-LEC) is a tutoring resource for all students a SMU, designed to complement and support students’ direct contact with professors. The A-LEC connects students to a knowledgeable person with which you can discuss the course material you are working in, helping with specific problems or general questions.
