Canvas for CAPE Courses
Many CAPE noncredit courses use Canvas as a learning management system. If your course uses Canvas, you will receive an email notification.
CAPE ID
CAPE ID (formerly known as NetID) is a single sign-on solution that allows SMU CAPE students to use the same username (CAPE ID) and password across CAPE systems like your student portal and CAPE Canvas.
Parking on SMU Main Campus
Parking on the SMU Main Campus requires a parking pass at all times. Generally, SMU CAPE parking passes allow holders to park in any surface lot marked for student commuters, as space allows.
Using Zoom
Live online CAPE courses use Zoom for live class sessions.
Earn a Digital Badge
Upon completion of many CAPE programs, you will receive a digital badge. Digital badges can be used in email signatures, digital resumes and social media sites. This digital image contains verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them.
