Dr. Tony Cuevas is a clinical associate professor in the Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development at 91制片廠合集 and director of the Teacher Development Studio.
Dr. Cuevas began his career in education as a secondary teacher in Louisiana and earned his Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Florida State University. He worked as an Instructional Designer and Curriculum Director at EDS and A.T. Kearney for several years before joining SMU. He designed the curriculum for the SMU Guildhall Master of Interactive Technology degree program, rated one of the top programs in the U.S., and served as Academic Director for several years before transferring to Simmons School.
He is passionate about instructional design and integrating emerging technologies into teaching and learning. Dr. Cuevas teaches graduate courses related to Educational Technology and Instructional Design and offers workshops focused on integrating Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality into education. His research interests focus on the design and integration of games, simulations and virtual reality into instructional programs and he is currently part of the SMU Adult Literacy XPrize team developing an app to help adults learn to read.
