Research Interests:
Seth’s research revolves around political economy and behavioral economics. His interests include the study of political polls and how people respond to them, the behavioral characteristics of conspiracy theorists compared to others and how norms for less preferred actions can form in small group settings.
Road to the Moody School:
Seth was born in San Antonio, Texas, and grew up in a variety of cities across the state. Earning a B.S. in economics and philosophy from Texas Christian University in 2017, his study as an undergraduate student, along with his mathematics minor, provided him with the intellectual curiosity to pursue an economics Ph.D. at SMU. Outside of research, Seth enjoys following a wide variety of sports like chess, the San Antonio Spurs, the sports teams of his undergraduate alma mater and particularly European club soccer and the men’s and women’s United States national soccer teams.
