Biographical Note

Dr. Eugene McCray worked for the CDC for 35 years, beginning as an officer in the US Public Health Service in the Epidemic Intelligence Service before being named as the first director of the Global AIDS Program. He later served as director of the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP).
